Accessing Telnet
You can use a console cable for serial communication between the Net To Net
Technologies SIA2410R unit and the user's PC in order to configure the router.
Also, network-connected users can configure the router by means of the
Telnet application provided from the user's PC through the network.
Once the SIA2410R unit has been configured with an IP address, you can use
the IP address to open a Telnet session with the unit from any computer on
the same Ethernet network. If the unit is connected to just one computer, the
Ethernet network comprises the computer and the SIA2410R unit.
The SIA2410R supports both telnet client and telnet server. Your computer
can connect to the SIA2410R unit and the SIA2410R unit can connect to the
workstation or router on the same Ethernet network.
