2-12 Setup and Operation
This completes the installation of the Windows NT operating system. Use the following
procedure to install the video, audio, and other drivers.
Matrox Video Driver Installation
Use the following procedure to install Matrox video drivers.
1. From the Main group in Windows, double click on “Control Panel.” The Control
Panel menu appears.
2. From Control Panel, double click on the “Display” icon. A Display Settings
window appears.

In the Display Settings window, click on the “Change Display Type” button. The
Display Type window appears.
4. In the Display Type window, click on the “Change” button. The Select Device
window appears.

In the Select Device window, click on the “Other” button. The Install From Disk
window appears.
6. Insert the Matrox MGA Millennium Win NT Drivers diskette into drive A:.
7. From the Install From Disk window, type
A:\
and click on “OK.”

Scroll down and select the “Matrox MGA Millennium 800x600x256 colors”
from the list. Click on the “Install” button.
9. Click on “Yes” to install the driver.
10. Click on “Continue” at the prompt for the OEM driver files to install.
11. After the drivers install, a message box appears stating that the drivers are
installed, click “OK.”

A message box appears prompting you to restart Windows NT. Remove the
diskette and click “OK.”
13. Click on Restart Now.

After restarting and logging in, a message appears stating that the new graphics
driver was installed. Use the Display option in Windows NT Control Panel to
select a preferred resolution. Click “OK.”
15. In the Display Settings screen, click on the “Test” button. When the message
appears, click “OK” and wait five seconds. If the screen test is correct, click
“YES.” If you changed your default resolutions, select “Restart Now.”
