Upgrading Your Server 9-19
Power Supply Unit
Your server contains one or two power supplies.
The second power supply is optional and provides a redundant configuration that ensures continued
operation of the system in the unlikely event one of the power supplies fails.
Installation
Take the following steps to install a power supply unit:
1.
See page 9-4 to prepare.
IMPORTANT:
Be sure to turn off the power. Failure to do so causes
the server to malfunction or fail.
2.
Remove the blank cover.
IMPORTANT:
Keep the removed blank cover for future use.
