Rotate the shaft through one entire revolution and note the pilot bearing bore eccentricity.

The total indicator reading (T.I.R.) must not exceed 0.13 mm. (0.005in.).

Note: Eccentricity between the driving ring pilot bore and the pilot bearing bore must

exceed 0.20 mm. (0.008 in.).

Clean the drive ring and flywheel of any dirt or debris as necessary.

Use crocus cloth or emery cloth to remove any surface imperfections such as nicks,

burrs and sharp edges on the O.D. or the surface that will be mounted against the

flywheel face.

Use crocus cloth or emery cloth to remove any surface imperfections such as nicks,

burrs and sharp edges in the I.D. of the flywheel pilot bore or on the face that will be

in contact with the drive ring.

Position the drive ring against the flywheel, piloted in the mounting bore, and secure

with hex-head capscrews (six for 18" clutches). Torque the capscrew to the proper

specifications given in Torque Values for Fasteners in the Description and Specifications

section of this manual.
