Table6-2 Troubleshooting
No.
Phenomenon
Possible reason
1
Mains is normal, but the UPS
works in battery inverting status,
buzzer beeps intermittently.
The surfaced of a contact socket is bad, which leads to
AC input being blocked.
2
After installing, close switch or
power switch, the fuse will trip or
burn out.
The input wires of UPS are wrongly connected, such as
the neutral wire and live wire or live wire and grounding
wire (cabinet) is reverse connected, or the three wires of
the output are wrongly connected.
3
After starting, the UPS can
output 110V AC power, but the
UPS works in bypass status.
The load capacity exceeds the rated output capacity. It
is necessary to decrease load or use a UPS with bigger
output capacity.
If it is a temporary bypass caused by starting the
load and can recover automatically, that is normal.
4
After starting, the UPS output is
normal, but once starting the
load, the UPS stops outputting
immediately.
The UPS is overloaded or short-circuit of output return
circuit. Decrease the load to normal capacity or find out
the result of short circuit. Common reason is that
output socket is short circuited.
The startup of load is not in the order of “big power
load
→
small power load”. It is necessary to restart the
UPS, and start the load in the order of “big power
load
→
small power load” after UPS running stably.
