6.1 Connecting to the Internet

Your phone connects to the Internet via:

Wi-Fi

•

Mobile data networks

Wi-Fi

To turn Wi-Fi on or off

1. From the Home screen, tap

Application drawer

Settings

to access Wireless controls.

2. Tap to check the

Wi-Fi

function and turn Wi-Fi

on or

off.

To connect to a Wi-Fi network

1. Turn Wi-Fi on.
2. Tap

Wi-Fi settings

. The phone scans for Wi-Fi

signals.

3. Detected networks are displayed below. Tap a

network connection then tap

Connect

4. If you select an unsecure network, the connection is

automatically established. Otherwise, proceed to
the next step.

5. To connect to a secured connection, you will be

prompted for the network key. Enter the key, then
tap

Connect

When Wi-Fi is connected, the

connection icon is

displayed in the status bar.
