4.4.2.8.3.1 Fault Status
The Fault status indication gives a display of the current status of the fibre link.
Fault
A fault currently exists, and there is an ODTR measurement of the
distance to the fault, along with a timestamp of when the fault was
first detected.
No Fault
No fault is currently detected on the Fibre link. A measurement is
provided for the length of the fibre, along with the start/finish
timestamps and distance for the last detected fault.
4.4.2.8.3.2 Fault Distance
When a Fault is indicated, the fault distance displays the distance measured by
the OTDR to the most distant fault. Measurements are made every few seconds
whilst the fault exists, so the display screen may require to be refreshed before
the fault is displayed.
The OpticalZonu OTDR SFP modules provide the distance measurement
accurate to /- 10m.
