Here a service provider is using the FCM9002 as the EDD for the provision of a
point to point network service for a customer. Connectivity to one customer site
utilizes a tail circuit supplied by an alternative carrier. In this case, two CFM
maintenance domains need to be defined, the segment domain to allow for
monitoring of the tail circuit, and the End to End domain to monitor the complete
customer circuit.

The Maintenance Domain configuration menu is as shown:
