Operating the integrated information systems
and communications equipment in the vehicle
while driving will distract you from traffic con-
ditions. You could then lose control of the
vehicle. There is a risk of an accident.
Only operate these devices if road traffic con-
ditions permit. If you are unsure about the
surrounding conditions, pull over to a safe
location and make entries only while the vehi-
cle is stationary.
Observe the legal requirements for the country
you are in.
Requirements
Mercedes me connect only functions in areas
where the contracting parties have GSM net-
work coverage. If the contracting parties have
insufficient network coverage, it may not be
possible to establish a connection. Network
access in the regions in which Mercedes me
connect is available is a prerequisite for estab-
lishing a connection.
As with mobile phones, atmospheric interfer-
ence may mean that a connection cannot be
established.
The ignition must be switched on for vehicle
data to be transferred automatically.
General notes
The Mercedes-Benz Customer Centre is availa-
ble to you around the clock for breakdown assis-
tance, for requesting an appointment or similar
enquiries.
Please note that Mercedes me connect is a
Mercedes-Benz customer service. In emergen-
cies, always call the national emergency serv-
ices first, using the standard national emer-
gency service telephone numbers. In emergen-
cies, you can also use the Mercedes-Benz emer-
gency call system.

nect accident management
Mercedes me connect accident management is
an extension of the Mercedes-Benz emergency
call system.
If an emergency call to the Mercedes-Benz
emergency call centre has been triggered fol-
lowing an accident:
R
a voice connection is made to a contact per-
son at the Mercedes-Benz emergency call
centre
R
if necessary, the contact at the Mercedes-
Benz emergency call centre will transfer the
call to the Mercedes-Benz Customer Centre
R
if necessary, the vehicle will be towed to a
Mercedes-Benz Service Centre
These services may require payment.
Data will be transferred during the connection
with the Mercedes-Benz Customer Centre.
