Additional stowage space
Depending on the equipment, the following
additional stowage areas are available in the
vehicle:
R
open stowage compartments in the doors
R
stowage net in the front-passenger footwell
R
stowage nets on the left- and right-hand
sides on the rear wall behind the seats
R
luggage net on the left-hand side in the lug-
gage compartment
i Reflective safety jackets can be stowed in
the stowage net on the rear wall behind the
driver's seat.
Observe the safety guidelines for stowage
spaces (

page 228).
Luggage compartment cover
Important safety notes
G WARNING
On its own, the luggage compartment cover
cannot secure or restrain heavy objects,
items of luggage and heavy loads. You could
be hit by an unsecured load during sudden
changes in direction, braking or in the event of
an accident. There is an increased risk of
injury or even fatal injury.
Always store objects so that they cannot be
flung around. Secure objects, luggage or
loads against slipping or tipping over, e.g. by
using lashing material, even if you are using
the luggage compartment cover.

The luggage compartment cover conceals
objects in the vehicle's luggage compart-
ment.
Attaching and detaching the luggage
compartment cover

To attach: pull the luggage compartment
cover by grab handle : and attach it to
retainers ; on the left- and right-hand
sides.

To detach: detach the luggage compart-
ment cover from retainers ; and guide it
forwards by grab handle : above retain-
ers ; , until it is completely rolled up.
Safety net
Important safety notes

On its own, the safety net cannot secure or
restrain heavy objects, items of luggage and
heavy loads. You could be hit by an unsecured
load during sudden changes in direction,
braking or in the event of an accident. There is
an increased risk of injury or even fatal injury.
Always store objects so that they cannot be
flung around. Secure objects, luggage or
loads against slipping or tipping over, e.g. by
using lashing material, even if you are using
the safety net.
It is important to use a safety net if you load
the vehicle with small objects above the seat
backrests. For safety reasons, always use a
safety net when transporting a load.
The safety net is in the luggage compartment.
