4.6.3.4 Shortening the hold open time
With the “Hold open – briefly” function set (also refer to option for "Hold open
briefly" in Chapter "Program gate" 6.1.3), the gate is held open longer for the period
of the “Hold open time – brief” set when the passage protection is triggered and
before the hold open time lapses. The closing process is then initiated. The process
is restarted when the gate is next driven through.
Note
This applies to the single/dual lane and dual lane feedback control operating
modes.
4.6.4
Run time monitoring
In addition to the hardware safety equipment, the control system is also fitted with
software run time monitoring. If the gate does not reach a limit position as a result
of the run time set, the system is transferred into error mode. In other words, red
light(s) flash(es), if fitted and gate remains motionless.
