SAFETY INTERLOCKS:
120 or 230V are available at the
input
of the SG32-
1500M.
12. ZERO START POSITION The Voltage Control knob must be in this (zero)
position before the HV ON button can be pushed in
order to start HV in any of the modes.
13. SURGE TIMER Allows setting the surge frequency between 1 and 15
second or by turning it fully counterclockwise to
Single Shot mode.
14. SELECT VOLTAGE
RANGE Allows selecting either 16 or 32kV range by
switching the surge capacitor in parallel mode or into
serial mode, can only be switched in the HV OFF
state.
15. SINGLE SHOT
LED (Yellow)
When in Single Shot (yellow LED on), the release of
the HV surge must be initiated by pushing the Single
Shot button.
Single Shot is automatically activated when in ARC
Reflection or in Surge and with the Surge Timer
turned to Single Shot. This is typically the case when
using the ICE or Surge Pulse prelocation method.
16. SELECT MODE The Select mode switch is operated to either select
TDR and ARC Reflection or Surge and Proof/Burn,
can only be switched in the HV OFF state.
17. PROOF/BURN
LED (Blue)
With the Select mode switch in Proof/Burn and
Surge, the mode Proof/Burn is selected by pushing
its button (its blue LED stays on).
18. TDR
LED (Blue)
With the mode switch in ARC Reflection / TDR, the
TDR mode is selected by pushing its button (its blue
LED stays on).
19. SURGE
LED (Blue)
With the select mode switch in Surge and
Proof/Burn, the Surge mode is selected by pushing
its button (its blue LED stays on.
20. ARC REFL
LED (Blue)
With the select mode switch in Arc Reflection and
TDR, ARC REFL is selected by pushing its button
(its blue LED stays on).
