1 OPERATOR

DESCRIPTION

This instrument must be operated, used and serviced ONLY by trained, qualified
personnel. Misuse of electrical instruments can result in personal injury and

EXPLANATION OF SAFETY SYMBOLS

Megger uses, where applicable, the following IEC 417 symbols on its
instruments:

This symbol indicates that the operator of the
instrument must refer to the instruction manual for
further explanation and clarification.

Safety Ground Terminal. This terminal

must

connected to an earth ground before making other
connections to the instrument and prior to operating
it!!!

This red symbol indicates that high voltage (i.e., any
voltage equal or greater than 1000 Volts) is present
on the terminal. Use extreme care.

This is the symbol for a sinusoidal AC voltage or
current.
