Cleaning and Service
products are not suitable for surface disinfection and cleaning. Please follow the
instructions on the cleaning and disinfection products label.
5.1.2 Patient cable
Cleaning:
Plugs, electrode leads, and connecting cables can be washed with lukewarm soapwa-
ter or with natural cleaner.
Disinfection:
Patient cable with a length of 60cm or 100cm
Following disinfectants are adequate for disinfecting electrode leads of the patient
cable:

Terralin Protect (Schülke und Mayr)
•
Hexaquart-Forte (B Brown)
Using other disinfectants or solvents such as acetone, alcohol, chloroform causes
damage and loss of flexibility in the cables and artefacts, even after the first appli-
cation.
Patient cable with a length of 75cm
Following disinfectants are adequate for disinfecting electrode leads of the patient
cable:

Terralin Protect (Schülke und Mayr)
•
Hexaquart-Forte (B Brown)
•
Sterillium (Bode Chemie)
•
Propylalkohol (70%)
Using other disinfectants causes damage and loss of flexibility in the cables and ar-
tefacts, even after the first application.
5.1.3 Recorder bag
Cleaning:
The recorder bag may be washed in a washing machine at temperatures below 30°C,
or hand washed in lukewarm water and diluted detergent or soap.
Disinfection:
Disinfect the recorder bag with a cloth that has been saturated with a disinfectant
solution (ie concentrated Cidex®OPA or 6%iges Gigasept®FF for 15 min).
5.2 Maintenance
Regular measurement accuracy and equipment safety checks of the TELESMART
Holter-ECG recorder are not required. However:
