Please instruct your patients, that the recorder has to be carried
below the
clothes
and to fix the recorder at patients chest using the belt. If the recorder is
applied to infants or certifiably insane patients, all belts and cables have to be
fixed at the body sufficiently tight in order to minimize the risk of
strangulation
and suffocation
.
4.5 Ending the ECG recording
The recorder turns off automatically after a preprogrammed amount of time has
passed. The recording will also be stopped, and the recorder will shut itself off if:
•
The battery voltage is too low
•
The memory card card no longer has enough memory
•
The battery is removed
•
The recording is interrupted and ended by the user
User interruption
The recording can be interrupted and stopped by pressing and holding both outer
menu buttons at the same time for approx. 5 seconds. The following menu appears:

Online
When this menu is displayed, the recording is running in the background. To see
the ECG signal, press the [Online] button. Pressing [Back] allows the recording to
continue.
Selecting [End] launches this confirmation prompt:

Yes
Selecting [No] allows the recording to continue. Selecting [Yes] ends the recording.
4.6 Downloading the ECG recording
To download the ECG recording to the evaluation computer, perform the following
steps sequentially:
1. Pull the battery compartment cover open with gentle pressure on the grip molding
on the face of the recorder. Remove the disposable or rechargeable battery.
2. Remove the memory card from the recorder by pulling it out of its socket.
3. Insert the memory card into the PADSY-Holter card reader, or a generic card reader
for compact flash cards. To use a PADSY-Holter card reader, a compact flash
adapter is required.
