4.3.3 External start
Connect with a computer as described in the previous section. This allows an exter-
nal start to be performed.
1. When the recorder assistant is ended, the following display appears on the recorder:
Recorder ready
Last name, first name
Pacemaker: Yes
New
Next
PADSY
2. Pressing the [New] button launches a confirmation prompt:
Recorder ready
Delete patient's name?
No
Yes
Pressing [No] in this window returns the user to the [recorder ready] window. The
[Yes] button deletes the patient data, and the voice recording screen is launched.
Now a direct start, as described in the direct start section, can be performed.
3. In the [Recorder ready] menu, the button [PADSY] connects the recorder to a PC.
4. Selecting [Next] displays the current ECG signal:

[A]►
[Back] returns the user to the [Recorder ready] screen. The [[A]] allows the channel
to be selected.
The recording is started with the [Start] button.
4.4 Patient instruction
In order to take correct recordings and avoid unnecessary repeated measurements,
the patient should be instructed exactly how to behave during the recording.
Instruct the patient not to remove the TELESMART-H from its recorder bag during
the recording.
Show the patient how to use the MARKER button and the patient protocol. The pa-
tient marker is set during the recording by pressing the round button on the face of
the recorder. The recorder confirms that a marker has been set by beeping twice.
While changing clothes, extra care is to be taken to ensure the electrodes remain
firmly attached to the skin. Bathing or showering with the recorder equipment is
not permitted.
