Disk to file – network share
Option to create an image file on the network share. This functionality might be widely used in
computer forensic laboratory environment, where a user can send created image files straight to
lab’s storage.
In order to do so, the Mediaimager duplicator shall be connected to the network where storage is
available and choose “LAN” as Target destination.
When choosing a certain network share, a user will be asked to provide credentials to gain access.
After a successful login to a chosen network share, the rest of duplication process is no different
when creating an image file to a local drive (pages 24 to 26).
