Disk to file with span function
The process is identical to the one described above on pages 25-27. However, in the window
enabling the selection of target media, a user can choose the so-called "Disk span" option.:
The above function allows you to divide the source medium into several targets. This applies if the
target medium does not have enough free copy space. In the next step, additional settings may be
displayed.
In this option, only the EnCase format is available, the other options compatible with a normal
process of copying the disk to a file. You cannot disconnect and replace media during the process.
Note that this process does not create an identical copy on all selected target media it only allows
you to split the source media (e.g. in the case of large capacity) into several targets.
