NOTE:
Main rotor blades must be installed.
The droop angle test is typical for all five
main rotor blades.
It is not necessary to remove the drive
plate.

(1). Move main rotor controls until the top
of upper damper cap (2) is approximate­
ly level with the top of upper hub (1).
(2). Measure the droop angle for each rotor
blade.
(a). Put inclinometer (T203) on a flat and
level surface of upper hub (1) parallel
to pitchcase (2).
1). Record the angle measurement.
(b). Put inclinometer (T203) on the top
surface of upper damper cap (2)
parallel to pitchcase (4).
1). Record the angle measurement.
(3). The droop angle must be 7.0 to 7.5
degrees at each position.
NOTE:
The droop angle is the difference be­
tween the angle measurement of upper hub
(1) and the angle measurement of upper
damper cap (2).

(4). Add or subtract shims (6) as necessary
to get the correct droop angle (ref.
Removal/Installation procedures for the
droop stop striker plate).
(a). Do not install more than three shims
(6) at each striker plate (5).
(b). If you cannot get the correct droop
angle, replace worn components (ref.
the Inspection and Removal/Installa­
tion procedures for the main rotor
hub assembly).
