File names
Only a file with the ".mp3", ".wma" or ".m4a" extension is recognized as an MP3, WMA
or AAC file. Always save an MP3/WMA/AAC file with the ".mp3", ".wma" or ".m4a"
extension.
NOTE
• If a non-MP3/WMA/AAC file has the ".mp3", ".wma" or ".m4a" file extension, it may
be incorrectly recognized as an MP3, WMA or AAC file. When such a file is played,
a loud noise may be output and damage the speakers. Do not save a non-MP3/
WMA/AAC file with the ".mp3", ".wma" or ".m4a" extension.
Multi-sessions
Multi-session discs are supported, but only the first session can be played.
When saving the data in Track at Once mode, make sure each session is closed (lead-
out) or the disc is finalized. Each session must also be saved in the same format.
MP3/WMA/AAC playback
When you load a disc containing MP3/WMA/AAC files, the unit first checks all files
recorded on the disc. If the disc has many files and folders, it may take a while to
check them. While the unit is checking the disc, no sound is output.
To speed up the file checking, we recommend saving only MP3/WMA/AAC files and
not creating any unnecessary folders.
We also recommend saving all data in a single session, because the unit takes longer
to read the CD control information of a multi-session disc.
MP3/WMA/AAC playing time display
The playing time displayed on the screen may not be accurate, depending on the
recording condition of the MP3/WMA/AAC file, or when Variable Bit Rate (VBR) Fast
Up/Down is operated.
