Bluetooth Handsfree System
The handsfree system allows you to connect your mobile phone and make or receive a
call without taking your hands off the steering wheel.
This unit supports Bluetooth standalone operation. Bluetooth is a wireless data system
that enables phone calls without a cable connection to the mobile phone. This function
is only available if the desired mobile phone is compatible with Bluetooth. Register
your mobile phone on this device before handsfree operation. See "Bluetooth Settings"
on page 3-18.
WARNING
• Do not connect or operate your mobile phone while driving.
CAUTION
• Do not leave your mobile phone in the vehicle. High temperatures inside the
vehicle may damage the phone.
• When disposing of the vehicle, be sure to erase all personal data stored on this
unit. (See page 3-9)
− Phone book data.
− Outgoing and incoming call histories.
− Speed dial data.
− Registered mobile phone.
NOTE
• Keep call volume down. Otherwise, the other party's voice may be heard outside
the vehicle and voice echo may increase. When talking on the mobile phone,
speak clearly towards the microphone.
• The other party may not hear you clearly when:
− Driving on an unpaved road. (Making excessive traffic noise)
− Driving at high speeds.
− Driving with a window open.
− Air from the ventilator blows directly toward the microphone.
− The sound of the air conditioning fan is loud.
− There is a negative effect on sound quality due to the mobile phone and/or
network being used.
