XR 24 Troubleshooting Guide
No Display/Console Does Not Turn On
Keywords: Breaker, No Power, Screen, On, Light Up
Power switch is on, but
console does not turn on
Check for pinches or
crimps in the power cord.
If the cord is damaged,
replace it.
Verify the correct power
cord is being used. Only
use the power cord
included with the unit.
Treadmills: Verify the
machine is on a 20-amp
dedicated circuit.
See note below.
Verify that the circuit
breaker has not been
tripped. If it has been
tripped, reset the breaker
and try the machine
again.
See the document “Using
Your Multi-Meter” (NB-
2108005) and test the
console cable.
Check the power cord
Replace console
Voltage through
console cable >/= 12 VDC
Verify that the outlet is
functional and that the
power cord is securely
plugged into the wall
outlet.
Treadmills: Verify that the
power switch on the
frame is lit.
Check the power
source
Check the console
cable
Check/reseat the upper
and lower console cable
connections.
Troubleshoot LCB,
console cable, and
internal power
components

Additional Information:
A customer can use this test to verify that the treadmill is on a dedicated circuit: Go to the circuit
breaker box in the home and turn the breaker with the treadmill off. Then, check to see if any other
electronics turn off as well. Contact an electrician to verify, if necessary.
