8.2.2 Communication Commands:
•
The existing serial communication channel will break if user
changes any of the below serial communication settings
through serial communication command.
•
User has to do re-login to again communicate with serial ter-
minal as per explained procedure.
The communication commands change the parameters of serial communication port of the GPS
TIME SYNC UNIT MC-1-DE Model. These include SBxx, SPx and SSx.
These commands change the configuration of Serial port of GPS TIME SYNC UNIT MC-1-DE while
in configuration mode; hence the serial communication on serial terminal between the unit and
HyperTerminal stops.
To reinitialize the serial communication, first disconnect the link and then enter into the settings of
the HyperTerminal and set it same as the present setting of GPS TIME SYNC UNIT MC-1-DE. Again
connect the link.
8.2.2.1 Command: SBxx [Baud Rate Command]
Applicable Options: SB24 / SB48 / SB96 / SB19/ SB38/ SB57/ SB11 (Please refer ‘H’ Command
menu for applicable meanings of mentioned options)
1. Suppose that the desired baud rate is 4800, the command should be SB48 (See H: HELP). This
will display following on the HyperTerminal:

OR PRESS ENTER TO CONTINUE.

Now, the communication must have stopped.
2. Disconnect the link by a right click on Call\disconnect.
3. Enter the settings by following the path:
File\Properties\Connect To\Configure.
