Temperature selector (1)
This is used to adjust the temperature.
Air conditioning switch (2)
To turn on the air conditioning system, set
the blower speed selector to a position
other than off and push in “A/C” switch.
With this “A/C” switch operation, an indica-
tor light will come on when the air condi-
tioning system is working. To turn off the
air conditioning system, push “A/C” switch
again.
During operation of the air conditioner, you
may notice slight changes in engine
speed. These changes are normal, the
system is designed so that the compressor
turns on or off to maintain the desired tem-
perature.
Less operation of the compressor results
in better fuel economy.
Blower speed selector (3)
This is used to turn on the blower and to
select blower speed.
Air flow selector (4)

This selector is used to select the following
mode.
VENTILATION (a)

Temperature-controlled air comes out of
the center, side and rear (if equipped) out-
lets.
BI-LEVEL (b)

Temperature-controlled air comes out of
the floor outlets and cooler air comes out
of the center, side and rear (if equipped)
outlets. When the temperature selector (1)
is in the fully cold position or fully hot posi-
tion, however, the air from the floor outlets
and the air from the center, side and rear
(if equipped) outlets will be the same tem-
perature.
