Troubleshooting for wireless activation function
Before asking for repairs, conduct your own inspection first. If you find a problem that is not explained in the manual,
do not attempt to dismantle the tool. Instead, ask Makita Authorized Service Centers, always using Makita replace
-
ment parts f or repairs.

T h e w ireless unit is not installed into th e tool.
The wireless unit is improperly installed
into th e tool.
Install the wireless unit correctly.
T h e terminal of th e w ireless unit and / or
the slot is dirty.
Gently wipe off dust and dirt on the terminal of the
w ireless unit and c lean th e slot.
T h e w ireless ac tiv ation button on th e
tool h as not been push ed .
P ush th e w ireless ac tiv ation button on th e tool
briefly.
The stand-by switch on the vacuum
c leaner is not set to " A U T O " .
Set the stand-by switch on the vacuum cleaner to
" A U T O " .
No power supply
Supply the power to the tool and the vacuum cleaner.
Cannot finish tool registration / can
-
celling tool registration successfully.
T h e w ireless unit is not installed into th e tool.
The wireless unit is improperly installed
into th e tool.
Install the wireless unit correctly.
T h e terminal of th e w ireless unit and / or
the slot is dirty.
Gently wipe off dust and dirt on the terminal of the
w ireless unit and c lean th e slot.
The stand-by switch on the vacuum
c leaner is not set to " A U T O " .
Set the stand-by switch on the vacuum cleaner to
" A U T O " .
No power supply
Supply the power to the tool and the vacuum cleaner.
I nc orrec t operation
Push the wireless activation button briefly and perform
th e tool registration/ c anc ellation proc ed ures again.
The tool and vacuum cleaner are away
from each other (out of the transmission
range).
G et th e tool and v ac uum c leaner c loser to eac h oth er.
The maximum transmission distance is approximately
m however it may vary according to the circumstances.
Before finishing the tool registration/
c anc ellation;
- th e sw itc h trigger on th e tool is pulled or;
- th e pow er button on th e v ac uum
c leaner is turned on.
Push the wireless activation button briefly and
perf orm th e tool registration/ c anc ellation proc ed ures
again.
T h e tool registration proc ed ures f or th e
tool or vacuum cleaner have not finished.
P erf orm th e tool registration proc ed ures f or both th e
tool and th e v ac uum c leaner at th e same timing.
Radio disturbance by other appliances
which generate high-intensity radio waves.
Keep the tool and vacuum cleaner away from the appli
-
ances such as Wi-Fi devices and microwave ovens.
T h e v ac uum c leaner d oes not run
along w ith th e sw itc h operation of
th e tool.
T h e w ireless unit is not installed into th e tool.
The wireless unit is improperly installed
into th e tool.
Install the wireless unit correctly.
T h e terminal of th e w ireless unit and / or
the slot is dirty.
Gently wipe off dust and dirt on the terminal of the
w ireless unit and c lean th e slot.

Push the wireless activation button briefly and make
sure th at th e w ireless ac tiv ation lamp is blinking in blue.

Set the stand-by switch on the vacuum cleaner to
" A U T O " .
More th an 1 0 tools are registered to th e
v ac uum c leaner.
P erf orm th e tool registration again.
I f more th an 1 0 tools are registered to th e v ac uum
c leaner, th e tool registered earliest w ill be c anc elled
automatically.
T h e v ac uum c leaner erased all tool
registrations.
P erf orm th e tool registration again.
