DESCRIPTION
CAUTION:
Always be sure that the tool is
switched off and the battery cartridge is removed
before adjusting or checking function on the tool.
Installing or removing battery
cartridge
CAUTION:
Always switch off the tool before
installing or removing of the battery cartridge.
CAUTION:
Hold the tool and the battery car-
tridge firmly when installing or removing battery
cartridge.
Failure to hold the tool and the battery
cartridge firmly may cause them to slip off your hands
and result in damage to the tool and battery cartridge
and a personal injury.
CAUTION:
Always bring down the base when
installing/removing the batteries. Be careful not to
pinch your fingers.
CAUTION:
Do not use the battery adapter with
the circular saw. The cable of the battery adapter
may hinder the operation and result in personal
injury.

Before removing the battery cartridge, loosen the lever
for depth adjustment to lower the tool base. Then slide
the battery from the tool while sliding the button on the
f ront of th e c artrid ge.
To install the battery cartridge, align the tongue on the
battery cartridge with the groove in the housing and slip
it into place. Insert it all the way until it locks in place
with a little click. If you can see the red indicator on the
upper side of the button, it is not locked completely.
CAUTION:
Always install the battery cartridge
fully until the red indicator cannot be seen.
I f not,
it may accidentally fall out of the tool, causing injury to
you or someone around you.
CAUTION:
Do not install the battery cartridge
forcibly.
If the cartridge does not slide in easily, it is
not being inserted correctly.
NOTE:
The tool does not work with only one battery
c artrid ge.
Tool / battery protection system
The tool is equipped with a tool/battery protection sys
-
tem. This system automatically cuts off power to the
motor to extend tool and battery life. The tool will auto
-
matically stop during operation if the tool or battery is
plac ed und er one of th e f ollow ing c ond itions.
Overload protection
When the tool is operated in a manner that causes it to
draw an abnormally high current, the tool automatically
stops. I n th is situation, turn th e tool of f and stop th e
applic ation th at c aused th e tool to bec ome ov erload ed .
T h en turn th e tool on to restart.
Overheat protection
When the tool is overheated, the tool stops automati
-
cally, and the battery indicator blink about seconds.
I n th is situation, let th e tool c ool d ow n bef ore turning th e
tool on again.

Overdischarge protection
When the battery capacity becomes low, the tool stops
automatically. If the product does not operate even
w h en th e sw itc h es are operated , remov e th e batteries
f rom th e tool and c h arge th e batteries.
