P0182-Signal range check for fuel temperature sensor below minimum limit
FUEL TEMPERATURE SENSOR
The fuel temperature sensor is a variable resistor whose resistance changes as the temperature of the fuel
flowing past the sensor changes.(NTC resistor) When the fuel temperature is low, the sensor resistance is
high; when the fuel temperature is high, the sensor resistance is low.
COMPONENT LOCATION
NORMAL
OPERATION
During ignition ON , the measured output voltage value of the fuel temperature
sensor is between 0.1 to 3.3 V
DTC DETECTING
CONDITION
The measured output voltage of the fuel temperature sensor is less than 0.1
V for 4 seconds
PROBABLE
CAUSES
Short fuel temperature wiring harness
Faulty fuel temperature sensor
Faulty EMS ECU
LAMP STATUS
No warning lamp indication
DTC REACTION
Engine will run with a default fuel temperature of 20 °C
HEALING
CONDITION
Ignition OFF/ON
