P1631 - ECU Monitoring: Start of Injection plausibility error
CONTINOUS TORQUE MONITORING
NORMAL
OPERATION
The start of the energizing time is monitored
DTC DETECTING
CONDITION
If the start of the energizing time is outside the plausible valid range then this
error is registered
PROBABLE
CAUSES
EMI interference in the signal from the Engine speed sensor ( look at the starter
motor cable & starter motor condition.)
Faulty EMS ECU
LAMP STATUS
No lamp indication
DTC REACTION
Engine shuts off
HEALING
CONDITION
Ignition OFF/ON
Corrective Action
-
1. Check and rectify if any EMI interference in signal from the Engine sensor ( possible cause can be
starter motor cable or starter motor taking extra load )
2. Using diagnostic tester clear the DTC.
3. Turn ignition OFF/ON
4. Check for the DTC . If the DTC still exists , repeat the steps 1 and 2 for 3 times
5. If DTC still exists replace the EMS ECU with a new one
