RDS OPERATION
RDS OPERATION
The RDS (Radio Data System) in the system include
three functions: PS (Program Service), PTY (Program
Type), CT (Clock Time).
RDS (Radio Data System) Station Search:
There are two ways to search a RDS station.
1. For system power on, press the RDS/CT button to start
RDS station searching, the “RDS ” indicator will flash
during the tuner self-searching.
• If there is a RDS station been found, the “RDS ”
indicator will illuminate.
• If no RDS Clock Time (CT) is tuned, the display will
show “NO RDS ”.
2. In RDS station, if the station has CT (Clock Time) ser-
vice, then the display “CT ” mark will turn on and the
system clock will be auto adjusted.
To select other RDS services to be displayed push the
Display on the remote:
1. If an RDS station is tuned, the display will read the
following services: Station name (PS) Frequency
Programme Type ( PTY ) as per the PTY list below

Station name again.
2. This service will be indicated with all 8 display charac-
ters for 20 seconds to ensure optimal readability.
NOTE: If the RDS station transmits no PTY code the dis-
play will read “NO CT ”.
To search only for RDS station with certain Program
Type (PTY):
1. Press the PTY button on the remote. If RDS is not on,
this will turn on RDS. Now the display will read PTY
SEL ( Program Type Select ) for 20 seconds.
• If there is no RDS station exist and been found, the
RDS indicator will turn off,and message of
“NO RDS ” will appear on the display.
2. Press TUNING UP or DN button to do manual or auto
tuning and select a frequency, then this system will
auto check the RDS exist or don’t.
• If there is a RDS station been found, the “RDS ”
indicator will illuminate.
• If there is no RDS station exist and been found, the
RDS indicator will turn off, and message of
“NO RDS ” will appear on the display.
CT (Clock Time) Search:
There are two ways to do CT search.
1. For system power on, as soon as RDS is on and an
RDS station is tuned, this clock is synchronized by
the RDS Clock Time ( CT ) code to indicate the exact
local time.
