Chapter 3 RFID-H Reader Installation Method
3.1 Reader Installation Method
LGRF-H Reader shall be installed by fixing it on 35mm Din rail using the holder mounted on
the rear of the Reader. At this time, fix the Reader on Din rail by the stopper in order to prevent
the movement of Reader.
When Reader is installed on the metal materials, it is recommended that there should be 3~4cm
clearance between the rear of the Reader and the surface of the metal. If the antenna of the
Reader is contacted to the surface of the metal, it may transform the magnetic field generating
from the antenna and reduce the read range of tag. In case of installing the Reader with
external antenna, it is not necessary to have a clearance between the rear of the Reader and
the surface of the metal because the antenna is not included inside the body of the Reader. And
it is recommended to avoid the metal materials (Sus material) for bracket which is needed for
the clearance. [Fig. 3.1.1] shows the Reader which is fixed on 35mm Din rail, and [Fig. 3.1.2]
shows the clearance between bracket to fix the Din rail and the surface of the metal in case that
the Reader is installed on the section contacting to the surface of the metal.
