4.2.3 Communication Baud rate setting
z
Function summary: sets communication Baud Rate of Reader
z
Sending factor : sends the Baud Rate setting value
z
Receiving factor : responds to normal receiving frame by the changed Baud Rate.
This is the Frame used to set the communication Baud Rate between Reader and Host.
It is required to set the proper communication Baud Rate according each communication
environment. The provided communication Baud Rate is 9600 bps ~ 115200 bps.
The below shows the Sending Frame structure to set the communication Baud Rate and the
Receiving Frame structure which displays the response to that sending.

(After sending, the Receiving Frame responds by the changed Baud rate.)
It is available to change the communication Baud rate by using the 2 step setting of 6
th
item of
Sending Frame. Default value is 9600 bps for RS-232, RS-422 communication, and if more
faster Wired communication is needed, max. 115,200 bps is available for communication as
shown on [Table 4.2.3.1].
After changing the communication Baud rate, turn the power of Reader ON/OFF.
