Installation

Section 7.1

Tonnage and Analog Signal Module Installation

The OmniLink II Press Automation Control Tonnage and Analog Signal module can be used with the
OmniLink II Press Automation Control system or with the OmniLink 5000 Press Control system. This
is illustrated in Figure 3.1. The Tonnage and Analog Signal module connects to either system via the
high speed serial bus.

Section 7.1.1 Module Assembly, Mounting, and Wiring.

The faceplate of the Tonnage and Analog Signal module is labeled for the connectors that provide for
field connection of devices and wiring back to the OmniLink controller. The first four of these
connectors are for Channel 1 Strain Gauge, Channel 2 Strain Gauge, Channel 3 Strain Gauge, & Channel
4 Strain Gauge. The next two connectors are reserved for future options that will be available on this
module. The last 2 connectors are for the High Speed Serial Bus Cable (directly above the Power and
Bus Termination LED’s), and for module power.
