SYMPTOM

1. ENGINE WILL NOT
START
Won’t crank
→
Starter Motor Failure
If a firm "rap" to the starter
housing (while the key is in
“Start “ position) activates
starter, then the armature is
locking up or the solenoid is
sticking, starter is going
bad.
Starter Solenoid Failure
(Chattering sound on
occasional start-ups.)
Replace Device.
Battery discharged.
Recharge or replace.
Vehicle not in neutral.
Rectify
(No Ignition “Click” sound)
Starter Relay defective.
Check for voltage & ground
at coil. Check continuity
through coil. Correct wiring
or replace device.
Starter wiring bad.
Inspect and/ or replace.
