When entering a Speed Dial, a 16-character name may be associated with the number for the Dial by Name
directory. Refer to section
“9.2.1.1 Station Name Program” for details on entering your name in the directory.
To place a call using Station Speed Dial:
1)
Press the SPEED button and Dial the desired Station Speed Dial bin(index) number.
To enter a Station Speed Dial number with outside Line and Name:
1)
Press the Transfer (PGM) button and Press the SPEED button.
2)
Dial the desired Station Speed Dial number.
3)
Select or dial the outside line or group number.
4)
Dial the telephone number to be stored.
5)
Press the HOLD(SAVE) button, or OK button.
6)
Enter a name up to 20 characters, if desired. For details on character entries. Refer to section
“1.10.1 Phone Entering Text” for details.
7)
Press the HOLD(SAVE) button, or OK button.
To assign a Station Speed Dial directly to a flexible button:
1)
Press the Transfer (PGM) button.
2)
Press the desired flexible button.
3)
Select the TEL NUM Softkey.
4)
Select or dial the outside line or group.
5)
Dial the desired number.
6)
Press the HOLD(SAVE) button.
7)
Enter a name for Dial-by-Name access. For details on character entries. Refer to section
“1.10.1
” for details.
8)
Press the HOLD(SAVE) button.
4.3.4 Using Dial by Name and Entering Your Name
Dial by Name may be employed in three different Directories - the Personal directory (Station Speed dial),
System Directory (System Speed dial), and Internal Station List (Station Name).
NOTE
If other users want to call to you via the Internal Station List, you should register a name for your station (up to
20 characters).
To place a call using Dial by Name:
1)
Press SPEED button and LIST button, or Press SPEED button twice.
2)
Dial the desired directory.
1: Personal Directory
2: System Directory
3: Internal Station
3)
The LCD will display the names in alphabetical order.
4)
Scroll using the Navigation up/down keys or enter search characters. Press the dial pad until the
matched name displayed on the LCD screen. Refer to section
“1.10.2 System Entering Text” to
enter text from the dial pad for details.
5)
Press the HOLD(SAVE) button to place the call.
