Step 1. Press on the release button and the push point at the same time; then, slide the cover toward the
rear of the server.
Step 2. Lift the top cover away from the server.
If you are instructed to return the component or optional device, follow all packaging instructions, and use
any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
Remove the air baffle
Use this information to remove the air baffle.
Before you remove the air baffle, complete the following steps:
1. Read “Safety” on page iii and “Installation Guidelines” on page 32 to ensure that you work safely.
2. Turn off the server. Disconnect the power cords and all external cables (see “Power off the server” on
page 57 ).
3. If server is installed in a rack, remove the server from the rack.
4. Remove the top cover (see
“Remove the top cover” on page 36 ).
To remove the air baffle, complete the following steps:
