Grounding
Although operator protection is guaranteed (the control surface is connected to the ground of the power supply
system via the IEC power connectors), it is best to establish an additional ground for EMC reasons.
1.
Fasten the grounding cable to the rear of the frame using the
CASE
grounding screw (M5 x 12mm):
The control surface must be on the same potential as all other system devices/modules. For Scandinavian
countries,
ALWAYS
use a grounded mains connection, to prevent the device from being grounded through
Ethernet or other signal connections.
Grounding of Audio Interfaces
For compliance with AES3, digital interfaces should be connected to a field ground.
