Working with telephone hybrids
For the special use of the z4 in combination with a telephone
hybrid or codec there exists a linked function that must be
activated via the setup software.
With the setup software you define a button that allows direct
talk with the telephone hybrid.
The preparations for using a telephone hybrid with the z4 are
carried out by the system administrator.
How to take a phone-call
A phone-call comes in which is indicated by the blinking of the
channel (PFL) button.
1.
Press the green blinking channel (PFL) button.
The channel (PFL) button blinks bright yellow. The user button
for talkback blinks green.

Press the blinking user button to talk with the caller

Open the fader
The PFL function is switched off and is redirected to the
monitoring source selected before (usually the bus monitoring
of the broadcasting or recording line). The blinking channel
(PFL) button indicates that the call is held.
You can talk now with the caller over the microphone and the
open fader of the hybrid.
