Attaching/Detaching Pull Type
Seeder
Attaching the Seeder for Field Operations:
Seeder is parked lowered
1. Attach Seeder to the Tractor.
2. Raise the Seeder fully to extend the Hydraulic Lift
Cylinders and rotate the Transport Locks in the
engaged position over the Cylinder Rod. Secure with
the Clevis Pins and Hairpin Cotters.
3. Remove the 3/4" Parking Pin from the Frame Arm
Guide and place into Frame Tab for storage.
4. Raise and rotate Jack to stored position before setting
the machine in motion.
5. Transport the Seeder to the area to be seeded.
6. Disengage each Transport Lock so the Transport
Lock rests on the Wheel Arm. Secure with Clevis Pin
and Hairpin Cotter into the Wheel Arm Tab.
Seeder is parked raised
1. Attach Seeder to the Tractor.
2. Raise and rotate Jack to stored position before setting
the machine in motion.
3. If not already done, raise Seeder fully and engage
Transport Locks.
4. Transport the Seeder to the area to be seeded.
5. Disengage each Transport Lock so the Transport
Lock rests on the Wheel Arm. Secure with Clevis Pin
and Hairpin Cotter into the Wheel Arm Tab.
Detaching the Seeder:
Parking Seeder lowered
1. Raise the Seeder fully to extend the Hydraulic Lift
Cylinders and rotate the Transport Locks to the stored
position. Secure with the Clevis Pins and Hairpin
Cotters.

2. Rotate and Lower Jack.
3. Disconnect the Tractor from Seeder.
Parking Seeder raised
1. Raise the Seeder fully to extend the Hydraulic Lift
Cylinders and rotate the Transport Locks to the
locked position. Secure with the Clevis Pins and
Hairpin Cotters.
2. Relieve pressure from Hydraulic Hoses.
3. Rotate and lower Jack.
4. Disconnect the Tractor from Seeder.

Purge Hydraulic Lift System
The Drawbar Seeder is equipped with a Hydraulic Lift
System to raise and lower the unit in the field.
WARNING

The Hydraulic System is not filled with oil and should be
purged of air before transporting and field operations.
Escaping hydraulic fluid can cause serious
personnel injury. Relieve system pressure before
repairing, adjusting, or disconnecting. Wear
proper hand and eye protection when searching
for leaks. Use cardboard instead of hands (See
Figure 3-7.) Keep all components (cylinders,
hoses, fittings, etc.) in good repair.
