valid for the climatic system. In addi-
tion, the climatic system can provide
cooling the air supplied to the vehicle
interior, automatic mode for main-
taining desired interior air tempera-
ture and automatic mode for clean-
ing the windshield.

Air conditioning mode
To activate the cooling function
(air conditioning function) with the
windows closed:
1. Switch the ignition (start the en-
gine).
2. Switch on the fan setting han-
dle 1 (Fig. 43) to any of the following
positions: «1», «2», «3», «4» or
«AUTO».
3. Press A/C switch button 6
with symbol . Check light indica-
tor on the button will light green dur-
ing all the operation of the air condi-
tioner.
4. Set handle 4 with its mark to
position or any other desired po-
sition.
5. Handle 2 should be set to the
position corresponding to the blue
area of the scale, depending on the
desired degree of air cooling. The
temperature will be automatically
maintained within the climatic sys-
tem performance and the specified
tolerance.
The air conditioner operation may
cause moisture under the engine
compartment. This is normal as the
air conditioning system of the vehicle
removes condensed moisture on the
evaporator out of the passenger
compartment.
To switch off the cooling function
(air conditioning function) press A/C
switch button 6 once more, the
light indicator will go out.
ATTENTION!
Air conditioner operates only
when the engine is running, when
the outdoor temperature is not
lower than 5
0 С as well as when
handle 1 is set to any of these
positions: «1», «2», «3», «4» or
«AUTO» (i. e. with the fan on).
In the position of handle 4
at least one of nozzles 1 and 4
(see Fig. 42) must be opened,
otherwise the air cooling heat
exchanger (evaporator) can ice
up and block air flow.
When the air conditioner works
defogging is carried out more effec-
tively, especially when outside air
moisture is high. Therefore, when
turning on the automatic windshield
cleaning with
button 5 with symbol
the air conditioner will automati-
cally switched on.
Interior air recirculation
features
To speed up interior air cooling it
is recommended to switch on the
recirculation mode for a short time,
for this press
button 3 with symbol
; it stops supplying outside air,
and the air is taken out of the pas-
senger compartment. When turning
on the recirculation mode there lights
up the check light indicator located
on the button that will light green for
all the operation of the recirculation
mode.
