– if the left sensor is faulty (in
direction of travel), the system indi-
cates a faulty sensor with a low
chime;
– if the main sensor is faulty the
system indicates a faulty sensor with
two low chimes;
– if the right sensor is faulty (in
direction of travel), the system indi-
cates a faulty sensor with three low
chimes;
– if the control unit is faulty, the
system gives a low chime for about 2
seconds.
After alarming a fault the system is
switched off.
2. Note that because of ultrasonic
waves' propagation features, the
system does not detect dangerous
obstacles which diffuse or absorb
ultrasonic waves. They are very low,
thin, pointed objects, down-filled
clothes, soft snow, etc.
It is necessary to use other means
of control over the situation behind
the vehicle when approaching to
obstacles such as «ramp» because
of geometric features of these
obstacles.
3. When driving with a trailer to
disconnect the parking system, you
need to interconnect the pads with
two wires: black and blue and black,
the terminals of which are near the
left rear lamp.
Note. Tow hitch fitted to the vehicle
must have removable towing bracket, as
the system determines the distance from
the bumper to the obstacle.
4. To prevent misoperation of the
sensors must be kept clean of snow,
ice and mud. When cleaning the sen-
sors do not use hard or sharp
objects. The sensors must be pro-
tected against impact.
5. Replacement of faulty sys-
tem components is carried out at
any certified SSNE.
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
DRIVING FEATURES
Thanks to the installation of four-
speed automatic transmission on
your vehicle you can choose com-
fort, fully automatic transmission; or,
in extreme driving conditions,
change to lower (
second, or first )
gear.
The left foot is not used when driv-
ing, except for exceptional cases of
starting off on harp hill and descent,
which are mentioned below.
Engine start
With thumb of the right hand press
lock button 1 (Fig. 40a) and move the
gear-change lever to position
Р or N .
Switch on the ignition and start up
the engine.
Press the brake pedal and, press-
ing lock button 1, move the gear-
change lever from position
Р to posi-
tion R or D (depending on the
desired direction to start driving). In
this case, your foot should be on the
brake pedal, the accelerator pedal
must be released.
