Is the drive connected to the
computer through another drive?
Has the drive been formatted?
Is there a conflict with other
device drivers or extensions?
Is the LaCie Bigger Disk Extreme
with Triple Interface connected
directly to the host computer?
Is the LaCie Bigger Disk Extreme
with Triple Interface recognized
by the computer?
Possible Solutions
Try connecting the drive directly to the computer. For best
performance and reliability, connect the LaCie Bigger Disk
Extreme with Triple Interface directly to the computer.
Make sure that the drive has been formatted properly. Please

Interface is connected directly to the computer (see section

For best performance, avoid daisy-chain configurations and
connect devices directly to the computer. For more

5.3. Optimizing Data Transfers

If the LaCie Bigger Disk Extreme with Triple Interface is
recognized by the computer, try connecting the other device
directly to the computer. Check your device manufacturer’s
documentation for information about connectivity options.
If the LaCie Bigger Disk Extreme with Triple Interface is not
recognized by the computer, disconnect the other device
from the LaCie Bigger Disk Extreme with Triple Interface.
Unplug the LaCie Bigger Disk Extreme with Triple Interface
from the computer and reconnect. If the LaCie Bigger Disk
Extreme with Triple Interface still isn’t recognized, restart the
computer, and try reconnecting the device.
