7 Clean area between chassis and body

Adjusting Body-Raised Limit Switch

A limit switch located on the vehicle chassis near the body hoist cylinder activates the backup alarm

and the in-cab warning buzzer, and turns on a warning light inside the cab as soon as the body is

raised to a certain height from the chassis. Adjust this limit switch accordingly if needed (see

procedure below).

This safety feature is provided to warn people around that the vehicle is in the process of being

unloaded and to remind the operator that the body is still raised.

Always lock out and tag out the vehicle during inspection and maintenance (see

Lockout/

Tagout Procedure

on page 22).

Do not operate this equipment if there are any signs of damage or incomplete repairs.
