Lockout/Tagout Procedure

This recommended lockout/tagout procedure should be followed whenever inspection, repair or

general maintenance work is being done on your T

ELECT

™ unit, whether on the road or at the

shop.

OTE

Before the lockout/tagout procedure is applied, the body must be unloaded.

To lock out and tag out a T

ELECT

™ vehicle:

Park the vehicle on safe level ground and apply the parking brake (see Figure 2

12).

Make sure that the body is completely unloaded.

Switch OFF the hydraulic pump.

Move any of the hydraulic or pneumatic controls to relieve any residual pressure in the system.

Turn OFF the engine, remove the key from the ignition, store it in a safe and controlled area

(preferably on yourself), and tape over the ignition switch.

Turn OFF and lock the master switch.

MPORTANT

The battery set of the T

ELECT

™ is equipped with a master switch (see Figure 2

13) that must be

turned off.

Failure to follow the lockout/tagout procedure may result in serious injury or death.
