8. If changes in weight should occur with the variation of outside temperatures, use the
Automatic Tracking Function (code 66).
9. If changes are detected between the displayed weight when the device is turned off
and then turned on the next time, use the Weight Recovery Function (code 73).
10. If the weight is stable but not precise, calibrate the equipment. If the weight is also
unstable, pass immediately to the next point. If the problem involves the instability of
the weight caused by the movement of the augers or the silos unloading machine,
use the Filter Preference (code 57). Try different Filters until you find the one that
best suits your needs.
11. Check that the connector of the sensors extension cable, identified by a blue colored
band, is inserted correctly in the connector fitted on the equipment, identified by a
blue colored label with the writing SENSOR on it; also check that there are no oxides
or humidity on the contacts. Remember that, very often, in areas where food items
are handled, small rodents may attack cables even if they are in inaccessible places.
12. Check the assembly of the Load Cells, by checking the mechanical clearances and
the positions of TOP.
13. Check that the load cells do not show dents; the presence of rust on the body of
the load cells does not affect their operation. Ensure that there is perfect adhesion
between the silicon sealant and the load cell body and between the silicon sealant
and the load cell cover, making sure that there are no cracks in the sealant which
may cause infiltration of moisture.
14. Check the junction box and be sure that the cables of the load cells are properly
connected by consulting Chapter 1.3 of the User’s Guide. Also check the quality of
the connections and check for the presence of oxides or humidity in the connection
points.
15. If for the connection of the load cells, a junction box with internal cable holders and
terminals (CGPVCxxx) is used, perform the checks described above. However, if a
(CGSPExxx) type junction box is present, skip to point 16.
a) Open the junction box and switch on the device. Using a Tester, check to be sure
that there is about 5Vdc between the terminals with the red wire and those with
the black wire.
