EN 39 Operation
3.2 Igniting the burners
The GMS9751.0E appliance is fitted with a
direct responding, electronic spark-ignition.
Igniting the burners is simple:
1. Push the gas knob down and turn it anti-
clockwise towards the highest flame size
indication. This automatically starts the ig-
nition and gas supply.
2. After ignition, the knob has to be pushed
down at least three seconds to prevent that
the thermo couple [auto-flame detection]
automatically switches off the gas supply.
3. The required flame size can be achieved
by turning the knob.
In case the burner does not ignite immedia-
tely, turn the knob again back into the zero-
position, wait one minute before you retry
and ventilate the room in the meantime. If
the burner should not ignite after a second
attempt, please consult the Chapter „Useful
tips“.
3.3 Adjusting the burner capacity
Adjust the burner so that no flames are co-
ming out of the underside of the pan. The
hottest end parts of the flames should touch
the bottom of the pan to realise a good
warmth transfer. If the flames burn outside
the pan bottom, the pan grips can be dama-
ged which increases the chance of injury
when using the pan.
You can adjust each burner steplessly into
any position in between the largest and
smallest flame, with exception of the wok
burner.
Wok burner
The wok burner has a lock between the high
and low flame sizes. To pass this lock, the
knob has to be pushed down first and can
than be turned further.
After the lock is passed, the knob can be
released again to adjust the flame stepples-
sly within this range. Pushing down the but-
ton is necessary when switching from the
low flame size range to the high flame size
range, and the otherway around.
3.4 Switching off the burners
If the knob is turned into the „•„ zero-positi-
on, the gas supply is shut down and the
flame will extinct.
Your GMS9751.0E appliance is fitted with a
thermo-electrical auto-off-flame-safety; if
the flame extincts, for example in case of
overcooking, the gas supply will be shut
down too. By turning the knob again into
the „•„ position, the safety lock is released.
Now the burner can be switched on again
as usual.
