EN 33 Safety
2.2 Using the appliance safely
The GMS9751.0E product becomes very
hot and also remains hot a considerable
time afterwards. Do not touch the product
while or directly after using it.
Always use an oven glove or pot-holder if
you are working with the hot cooking appli-
ance. Prevent these from coming too near
to the flames. The glove or holder may also
not be wet or damp, because then they bet-
ter conduct heat and may cause burning
injuries unexpectedly.
Do not heat closed cans etc. on the appli-
ance. These cans may explode because of
over-pressure, possibly causing injury or
risk of fire.
Do not use the appliance to heat a room.
Because of the high temperatures surroun-
ding objects may catch fire. Moreover, this
shortens the lifespan of the appliance.
Do not place and use the appliance in the
open air.
Make sure all burner parts are fitted cor-
rectly before igniting the burner[s].
Only use pans with a diameter which is not
larger or smaller than as stated in this ma-
nual. If the pan has a smaller diameter it
does not stand firm enough. If the pan dia-
meter is too large, the combustion gasses
are pointed to much to the sides, possibly
causing damage to the worktop, non-heat
resisting back panel or parts of the applian-
ce. The manufacturer cannot be held res-
ponsible for these damages.
After fitting the cooking plate, the distance
between the middle of the wok burner and
the side panels has to be at least 305mm
and between the middle of the wok burner
and the back panel at least 250mm. When
this distance is to short it can cause incom-
plete combustion and the formation of C02
which can lead to dangerous situations.
Also the side panels can get to hot.
Make sure while using, that flames remain
under the pan.
Make sure that an ignited burner always
has a pan on it. Otherwise an extractor
above the hob might get damaged or catch
fire.
Do not use cookware made from plastic or
aluminium because they melt with high
temparatures. Risk of fire!
Do not store highly flammable objects
near the appliance.
Never cover the appliance with a cloth or
something else. If it is working or still hot,
this causes a risk of fire.
