• What do I do if I forget my User PIN? Only the installer can set a new user PIN. To do it
It is necessary to go to the sub menu of code programming.
• What do I do if I forget the installer PIN? The Installer PIN can not be recovered in any way. The
installer can still perform a factory data so that the PIN returns to the default one (1 2 3 4 5 6). After
running a factory data, the entire configuration of the system is then lost and the installer must re-pro-
gram the whole configuration.
• How do I restore the factory data? To reset to factory settings, simply press and hold the S1 button.
The status LED will start flashing red-green color. To understand when you can release the S1 button
wait until the status LED turns on solid red. If you want to also carry out de-entry from SecureWeb per-
form the same operation with the S2 button. The flash in this case will be blue-green color
• The installer PIN is correct but can not enter the menu. If the installer PIN is correct, the control panel
prevents access to the technical menu only if the system is armed or the user has intentionally dis-
abled in the installer going in the sub menu “Perm Installer. “.
• The Keypad remains locked and the display shows the message “Lock keyboard
Max Wrong PIN “. This message appears after you enter the wrong PIN three times consecutively.
The keypad for the next two minutes is not processing any key pressed. After 2 minutes the keypad
resumes normal operation.
• The GSM module can not call. Check that the GSM signal strength is good and that GSM failure is
not active. Check that the micro SIM is enabled to outbound traffic and that there is credit available.
It is good practice, before using the micro SIM with the system, to make a call (in input and output)
just to verify that it is active. Make sure that you have disabled the request of PIN code of the micro
SIM. Check the position of the micro SIM slot.
Make sure that the GSM antenna is connected and tightened to the appropriate connector on the
module (for more details on the micro SIM and antenna connection, see paragraph
“GSM / GPRS” Communicator).
• The PSTN module fails to call. Check that the line is properly connected to the connector LINE on
the module and that the PSTN fault is not active . Connect the device upstream to other equipment
present. When connected to a PBX, make sure you have entered on the telephone numbers even
the numbers necessary to get the local line output, followed by the pause (for more details refer
to the section “Editing the Address Book telephone “in Page 23). In the case that the central unit is
connected to a PSTN line simulated by devices such as modems for fiber optics or VoIP gateway, try
to disable the control tones, available option in the sub menu “General Options” accessible from the
technical menu.
• I can not see the measurement of the signal level, the keypad displays continuously the string “Not
Available”. When in the keypad you continue to see the string “Not Available” instead of the signal
level of the device, means that since the last reconfiguration made the device has not communicat-
ed with the control panel. In this case, to update the value, it is sufficient a forced transmission by the
device (for example by closing and reopening the magnetic contact or passing in front of the sensor).
If moving back to sub menu of the radio signal, the signal level is still not available, the device may
be out of radio coverage.
• When I go to check the level of radio signal, the control panel does not end the measurement and
remains locked in “Measurement in Progress.” To allow the control panel to perform a new measure-
ment of the strength of the radio signal received from the various wireless devices, it is necessary to
force a new transmission
• How can I perform the test of all the sensors once the installation is finished. In the technical menu
is present an option named “Sensor Test”. By entering this sub-menu you can start a new test. The test
works in the following way: all sensors programmed into the system are listed in this sub-menu.
Each sensor is removed from the list if it violated at least once. The installer can then go around the
system and try to violate all the sensors. Once the tour ended, the installer can return in the keypad
and verify that the display shows the “Test Completed” message. This indicates that all sensors have
reported the violation and therefore are operating properly.
