FAULT DETECTION
The control panel periodically checks the correct functioning of the whole system. In case any fault is
detected, the keypad display shows “FAULT IN PROGRESS.”
The cause of the fault and the device that reported it can be displayed using the keypad integrated
on the panel. This can be done by pressing the ENTER key while the keypad is at rest condition or by
going in “State Faults” sub menu, in both the technical menu and the main one. Following is a brief
explanation of the failures that may occur:
• 220VAC Lack: the control panel is not powered from the mains.
• Power Fault: the power supply of the control panel is not able to provide proper voltage to the
control panel
• Low Power: the power supply provides a too low voltage
• Prot. Power.: fuses have gone into protection due to a demand for excessive current.
• Battery Fault: indicates that the battery needs to be replaced. To restore the fault after battery
replacement is also necessary to insert the installer PIN and entry into the technical menu.
• Battery Low: Indicates that the battery is low but it is not necessary to replace. The fault is automati-
cally reset once the battery is recharged.
• Radio Communication: This fault occurs if the panel is unable to receive the latest broadcasts
periodic monitoring of the wireless device. As soon as the communication between the device and
control panel is restored, also the fault is restored.
• No GSM Network: GSM module fails to register with the network because of poor signal.
• No PSTN Line: PSTN module no longer detects the line voltage.
• Ethernet: the Control panel cannot communicate on Ethernet line.
• SIM expiring: if enabled the SIM expiry control, this fault will occur seven days before of the sched-
uled date. By performing a charge, the due date is shifted by 360 days and the fault is restored. In the
case the credit control is not enabled, the date of deadline is postponed automatically. In this case
then, after recharging, the expiration date must be manually postponed moving in “GSM State”
sub menu, positioning itself in the “SIM Deadline” and pressing the ENTER key.
• Recharge SIM: This fault can only occur if you have programmed the check of SIM credit.
The failure of the SIM notifies you when the credit falls below the threshold of 5 EUR and is restored
after a recharge.
TAMPER DETECTION
The control panel is able to detect actions to tamper the control panel itself or devices associated
(for example : opening a device, jamming signals on the radio frequencies of the system operation).
Tamper is notified by message on the first line of the Keypad and sending communications (SMS and
/ e-mail and / or voice) to contacts programmed in the Phone book. Complying with European stan-
dards EN50131, the acoustic signals are activated only when the system is armed at the time when
the tamper is detected. When the cause of the tamper is restored, the Keypad shows on the first line
of the tamper memory. This can be cancelled by re-setting the alarm from the main menu or by en-
tering the installer PIN and entering the technical menu.
NOTE: The tamper events are not generated if the installer PIN has been entered and the keypad in
the panel is in the technical menu.
We therefore recommend the installer to enter the technical menu before performing any operation
on the system with actions that could be seen as tampering attempts (for example: Opening of a
sensor).
NOTE: the arming of the system is not allowed if there are tampers in progress, unless the tamper is
caused by a sensor and this is excluded manually.
