Before moving the forage harvester forward, open the protective cover (4).
•
Move the forage harvester up to the maize header so that the feed drive housing (1) of
the forage harvester is directly in front of the adapter frame (2).
•
Lower the feed drive housing until the holding bracket (3) is positioned under the cross-
pipe (10) of the support panel of the maize header.

Move the forage harvester forward until the holding brackets (3) engage behind the
cross-pipe (10) of the maize header support panel.
Note
Make sure that the holding brackets (3) are resting correctly behind the cross-
pipe of the maize header support panel and between the knotting (11) and the
limit stop (12).
•
Raise the feed drive housing with the lifting hydraulics until the lower locking pins (5) are
in front of the bore hole for the maize header’s holder (6).
•
Stop the machine.
•
Align the holders (6) and tighten the screws (7)
(only required when first being placed
in service or when changing forage harvester)
.
•
Lock the locking pins (5) in place.
To do this:
•
Remove the linch pin (8) and move screw (9) from pos. I to pos. II. Lock in place with
linch pin (8).
