7.16 Reducing Images to Create Binding Margin: Page Margin - Re-

Use this function to prevent image loss when shifting is performed, by reducing the size of the original image
which may cause image loss. Reduction ratio will depend on the shift amount in the right direction specified
for the front side.

Each value of page margins can be adjusted in 0.1 mm increments. For details, see Section 7 of the POD
Administrator's Reference.

In simplex copying, reduction ratio will depend on the shift amount in the right direction specified for
the front side. The reduction ratio will not change with the shift amount specified for lengthwise direc-
tion. Settings for the back side, shift direction and amount, will not function even if specified.

Also in duplex copying, reduction ratio will depend on the shift amount in the right direction specified
for the front side. Though the binding margin, shift direction and amount, can be specified individually
for the front and back sides, the same reduction ratio will be applied for both sides.

Values for shift amount can be entered from 0 to 9.82 inches (0 to 250 mm) in 0.04 inches (1 mm) in-
crements.

Position the original.

Display the Copy Screen and select the desired copy mode under [Simplex/Duplex].
